Clay Modelling competition as part of Fugeniz'25
As part of the Civil Engineering Department’s events for Fugeniz’25, a Clay Modelling Competition was conducted on 14/03/2025 at W153, inviting students to combine creativity with structural understanding. In this event, participants were challenged to recreate the Taj Mahal, one of the world’s most iconic architectural marvels, using only clay. The given picture of the Taj Mahal served as the reference model, and students were judged based on how accurately and artistically they could represent its grandeur, symmetry, and elegance. The competition aimed to test not just modelling skills, but also attention to detail, proportion, and an appreciation for architectural heritage. Participants displayed great enthusiasm, patience, and craftsmanship, successfully bringing to life miniature versions of the historic monument. A total of 9 teams participated in the competition. The models were evaluated by a panel of faculty judges Dr. Anoopkumar and Ms. Binu P. Winners were awarded certificates and cash prizes of Rs.1000 for first place and Rs. 500 for second place.
