 Library Objectives

1. To provide necessary methods for dissemination of vital information, to satisfy the needs of users.
2. To update and procure the relevant and recent journals, useful publications for faculty and student community.
3. To fulfill the basic needs to support teaching, research and study requirements of the college.

Library Working Hours

     The Library is opened from 8 AM to 8PM on every working day and up to 5PM on Saturdays and those days having no regular classes working in the college. Sunday is holiday for the Library.

Library Membership

     SNGCE library offers membership to teachers, non-teaching staffs and students of the college.

1. B-Tech students are entitled to take out of loan three books at a time and keep it for 14 days. Renewal can be done once for a period of 14 days only.
2. M-Tech, MBA and MCA Students are entitled to take four books at a time and can keep for 14 days.
3. Each teachers can take six books at a time and has to return /renew on the 28^th day
4. Non-teaching staff can take two books at a time and can keep it for 28 days.

Loss of Books

     In case of loss of books, the borrower shall either replace the book before the due date or bear double its cost. If the book is out of print the user will have to give three times the amount of the lost books. If the multi-volume book is lost or damaged the concerned shall be liable to replace the whole set or pay double the cost of the entire set.

Library Automation

     The Library Management Software named “Library Ex+” developed by Kinsys software solutions is used for Library Automation.

Library Resources

          Books: SNGCE Library has a collection of around 31039 books under 10000 different titles. The books are classified according to the DDC 21^st ed. Scheme of classification and catalogue as per AACR2

          Journals: Library subscribes around 300 print journals. Bound volumes of journals and magazines are also available for reference

          CD- ROMS: Library has acquired over 2250 CDs and DVDs

           Reports: Library has a good collection of reports like Project Reports, Mini Project Reports and Seminar Reports.

        Question Papers: Previous year Question papers are bound for reference.

Digital Repository System@SNGCE:- SNGCE` digital repository system help the library users to access the digital archive of the library. The digital repository system of the college, has a large collection of Video lectures, NPTEL collections, Question Banks, Seminar Reports, Project reports, lecture notes , lecture schedule etc.
