1. What is dual specialization?
According to MBA curriculum of MG University,
a student has to select 9 elective courses.
We at SNGCE offer 5 courses in one functional
area, and $ courses in another functional
area, thus making the student more employable.
2. What do you mean by
residential course?
MBA being a training
program which requires extensive practical
inputs from practicing executives the presence
of students round the clock in the campus
is essential to suite the convenient timings
of practicing managers. Togetherness helps
students to develop comradeship and inculcate
the skill for working in groups. So all
students beyond 5km’s limit from the
campus is requested to stay in the hostel.
3. What do you mean by
intelligent campus?
SNGCE has a networked
campus. All operations in the campus are
integrated through the intranet. The internet
facility through broadband connects the
campus to the external world and external
learning resources through digital systems.
4. What kind of industry
exposure you provide?
Frequent industrial
visits are arranged for students to interface
with industry. Chief executives of the business
corporations visit the campus frequently
to share experience and motivate skill development.
Summer internship training at industries
of repute and industry based projects are
part of MBA curriculum at SNGCE.
5. What is industry based
projects?
A candidate in the
final semester has to study a problem assigned
by a corporate house, under the guidance
of a senior executive in the company. This
provides amble on the job training for students
at SNGCE.
6. Is there any relaxation
for eligibility marks for backward class
students?
Backward class students
are given with a 2%reduction on minimal
eligibility marks as per the regulations
of MG University.
7.Which category of students
are expected to submit the migration certificate?
Candidates who did
their last academic course in any university
other than MG University must submit migration
certificate at the time of admission.
8. I did my degree course
in Kerala University. Should I submit eligibility
certificate?
No. As you did your
degree course in a university in Kerala
there is no need for submitting eligibility
certificate for admission. Candidates from
universities outside Kerala are requested
to produce eligibility certificate.
9. Do you insist on uniforms?
Yes. We do insist
on executive uniforms for MBA students.
Wearing of shoes and full sleeve shirts
are compulsory inside the campus.
10. Normally
who arranges training and projects for students
in industry?
Normally our placement and training cell
arrange for training and projects in industry.
In case of any specific preference for students
collective effort of parents and placement
& training cell are also welcome.
